Narva Art Residency project, supported by Narva Museum

experimental archeology project; attempting to recreate the methodology of
making and firing stone age, Narva culture vessels (c. 5300-1750 BC) based on
the archeological source material from Narva Museum excavated from Kudruküla archeological site in 1980

aimed to reproduce the stone age pottery production process, I used locally
available things. searched the river and seaside for clay. tested shells, sand,
plant material, rock debris as clay tempers. I used self-made stone and wood
tools to process the materials and shape the pots, tried earth moulds and clay moulds. the vessels were coiled, smoothed by stones and fingers and wood and grass decorated by stick and comb tools.
the vessels were fired in the open-bonfire using collected wood.

stripping away the technological layers of pottery down its starting point;
