closing ritual at essell studio, Barcelona
light vigil: study I concluded the spatial intervention residency at Essell with the burning of the wax gate.
it was a a time-based study of light, transformation and ruin, in which the suspended gate sculpture was activated through fire. as it burned, its surface softened and collapsed, revealing the hidden structure beneath. the slow transformation unfolded as a shared ritual, into a gathering where all senses converged. a live sound composition expanded and stretched the time, responding to the sculpture's changing state and its gradual dissolution. the communal feast celebrated impermanence.
